This page only relates to technology and sound in that the music on this page was created with both! These songs are original compositions by me (The Church Tech) that have been recorded at one time or another in my home studio. All of these songs belong to me … because I wrote and recorded them … so I can just give them away if I feel like it!
My setup for most of these songs was an analog 12 track record (AKAI MG1214) and a rack full equipment like compressors, effects units, synth and drum modules and a computer synchronized via a SMPTE track that was doing sequences. I later replaced the MG1214 with a Yamaha AW4416 … full automation … now that is living! Of course, now, this is all made much easier. In fact I recently bought a piece of software that replicated everything I have in my studio (plus some) for $150 (Mixcraft Pro Studio) and runs on my computer! Won’t be long and there will be no need for anyone to create the music! OK, there are way too many exclamation marks in this paragraph.
These recordings are not polished and really ready for release to the public. I debated whether to even put them up, but I thought, well, if you don’t want to listen to them, you don’t have to. But you may still find them enjoyable. If so, drop me a line and let me know. If not … well, you don’t need to download them. So, be warned … I am not Michael W Smith, Chris Tomlin or any other christian artist you have ever heard of. I’m just me.

Name | Style | Author | Notes |
Without You | Latin/Jazz | Gary Wolfer | What would life be like without God? I like to listen to this one at night when I am driving. |
Saved by Grace Alone | 60’s influenced | Gary Wolfer | The title says it all, a bouncy, happy song. I was thinking about the old 60’s way of putting together songs with this one. Experimented with brass midi settings. |
I Believe | Latin | Gary Wolfer | Experimented with lots of acoustic guitar on this one, trying to get a good acoustic guitar sound. Of course, that is really difficult when you don’t have a very good acoustic guitar! |
All in All |
Rock/Jazz? | Gary Wolfer | I think the style here is somewhere between Alan Parsons and Larry Carlton. I wrote this one over a long period of time and re-recorded it several times. Has some of my lousy electric guitar playing on it. A friend of mine named Brian Hartman sings the lead. A shout out to Brian if he runs across this! |
You are my God |
Lite Country | Gary Wolfer | Happy little song with a country feel. I wrote this song in about an hour and it probably sounds like it. Didn’t take long to record it … it’s short. But still, even 10 years later, I still kind of like this song. Give it a listen. |
GW Song Pack 1 – Get ’em all! | Gary Wolfer | Download all of the first 5 songs in a Zip file. |
